A sales pipeline is a visual representation of where each prospect is in the sales process. It’s important to know which stage you’re in just as a project manager would want to understand what stage they’re in managing a project.

Sales pipeline stages include:

  1. Lead generation
  2. Lead nurturing
  3. Marketing qualified lead
  4. Sales accepted lead
  5. Sales qualified lead
  6. Closed deal
  7. Post-sale
